Flame Angel

Flame Angel - Lisa Andel I was a little torn between giving 3 or 4 stars. While I liked the book, I wasn’t as excited about it as I have been when reading others. I think the main reason for that is that I couldn’t really identify with the protagonist. While I do understand, that Angies extreme lust for Devon had supernatural reasons and she didn’t have a choice about how she felt I didn’t really get why it wouldn’t bother her more in the beginning that she had sex with him. She believed he was a killer and even thought that he might harm her. If I were her I would at least have been upset or frustrated that I wanted him anyway. She only got frustrated about halfway through the book. Another example of when I couldn’t understand her actions was when Devon made Chase disappear in front of her eyes. Angie briefly thought that she hoped Chase (whom she had been having sex with a lot and even used to love) was still alive, but she never even asked Devon what he did to Chase. She just moved on.
I wish there had been a bit more plot, too, but I guess that wasn’t the point of the story.
To sum it up, I thought the book was well written, interesting and sexy, but had some flaws. Still, I liked reading it and would recommend it to anyone who does like these kinds of books.
